·      A strong sensation of heavy pulling from the pelvis

·      Difficulty with bowel movements – including passing urine

·      Constipation

The process of Vaginal Prolapse treatment includes:

Initial Consultation – During the initial consultation with Dr Janjic, she will sit down with you and go through your medical history, as well as performing an assessment to determine whether this treatment is appropriate for your current situation.

Next Visiting – When you attend the practice for your next appointment, the treatment will begin using the ProlapsLase Medical Laser. Depending on how severe the prolapse is, up to 5 treatments may be required. This will be discussed during the initial consultation visit. It is estimated that each treatment will take around 60 minutes to complete.

Post-treatment – Since there is very little downtime, you can continue with your daily routine straight after the treatment. You many notice some sensitivity and transparent discharge during the next 2 to 3 days. It is recommended that you avoid any heavy lifting or excessive exercising until after 3 weeks post-treatment.

Other more traditional treatment options are also available. These include vaginal pessaries and surgical repair of the pelvic structures.
