What is Fotona 4D?

Fotona 4D is a new, non-invasive laser aesthetic treatment that addresses signs of facial ageing such as sagging skin, loss of volume, wrinkles, poor skin tone and uneven texture.

How Does Fotona 4D Work?

Fotona 4D uses a unique combination of 4 distinct laser modes to work on deeper, medical and superficial connective structures of the skin in order to strengthen collagen and cause collagen contraction.

In doing so it reduces wrinkles, lifts, plumps, tightens and improve skin texture.

The 4 Laser Modes Are SMOOTH®, FRAC3®, PIANO® And SupErficial®.

Mode 1 – SMOOTH® Revolutionary non ablative ErYag intraoral treatment stimulates collagen fibres contraction and initiation of new collagen, creating a plumping effect to the nasolabial folds from inside out similar to a dermal filler.

Mode 2 – FRAC3® This non ablative fractional NdYag modality enables treatment of deeper imperfections to complement the effect of the intraoral treatment and to restore youthful skin texture.

Mode 3 – PIANO® Unique ultra-long pulse NdYag is a third step in Fotona 4D process. With its safe and rapid bulk tissue heating from the outside, energy delivery is concentrated in subcutaneous (under the skin) level. It is used to tighten the skin.

Mode 4 – SupErficial® A light, cold ErYag mode with its extremely controlled light peel without thermal effects is used to give pearl finish to the skin without downtime.

These unique four laser modes treat exterior face and interior oral cavity to achieve full thickness contraction of collagen for persistent tightening and volumisation without using injectable treatments

Great results can be achieved in one session but for optimal and lasting results minimum of 3 monthly sessions are advised initially with maintenance sessions once a year.

The Process?

During your initial consultation Dr Mirjana Janjic will take your medical history, answer any questions that you may have and examine you to evaluate if this treatment is likely to be of benefit to you.

Procedure typically takes approximately 60 minutes.

There should be no pain but you will have warm sensation on the skin and a mild pinching sensation with the light peel.

In the first few days after the procedure you may notice a mild peeling of the skin.

You will see immediate results but final result will be gradual over the next 3 to 6 months with ongoing collagen remodelling

Fotona 4D treatment does not require anaesthesia, it is usually painless and is considered low downtime procedure with possibly mild redness and swelling for only a day or two (similar to a mild sunburn appearance).
